What about “War”?
War (वार) is a traditional local unit still used in parts of Nashik and Maharashtra to describe plot sizes. Because it’s a customary measure, its exact value can vary by area and usage — so when a plot is quoted in War, always ask for the equivalent in square metres (or square feet) for that specific plot, and confirm it against the approved layout plan.
Tip: when comparing plots, convert everything to one unit (square metres or square feet) first. It’s the only way to compare price and size fairly.
